Reddit Conversions API

Reddit has a peculiar format — the event type is an object, test mode is a boolean, and even the IP travels hashed, their rule. The platform delivers everything in the right shape and stamps each conversion with a deduplication id.

Data delivered

Data delivered

  • Standard Reddit events (Purchase, Lead, SignUp…) plus custom
  • Hashed identity — including IP and user agent, as Reddit requires
  • Value and currency inside event_metadata, next to the dedup id

What it is for

What you can do with it

  • Measure Reddit campaign conversions on real sales
  • Test with test_mode before the first real delivery

Why integrate

The business reason, not just the tech

An audience no other channel reaches

Reddit communities concentrate niches with very high intent. The Conversions API closes the loop: the campaign that brought the visitor gets back the sale they made.

Reddit's rules are different — and we follow each one

Event type as an object, boolean test_mode, and even hashed IP (their rule, the opposite of other platforms). Each of those, done wrong, is a silently lost conversion.

Native deduplication

Every conversion carries a stable conversion_id: resends and retries never become double-counted sales.

How to connect

Step by step

  1. Step 1

Create the destination and paste your ad account credentials.

  2. Step 2

Create a Delivery: pick the source event, filter and map the fields.

  3. Step 3

Fire the first delivery in test mode and check it in the ads manager.

Frequently asked questions

Does Reddit take the IP in plain text like other platforms?

No — on Reddit, IP and user agent are hashed, per their own API. It's the opposite of the Meta family, and the platform applies the right rule per destination.
